My name is Evan Fleischer. I'm a writer, teacher, and editor based in Maine. I've been running writing classes for students of all ages for over five years — from worldbuilding workshops where middle schoolers invented functional languages to craft seminars that take us deep into Barthes.

I hold an MFA in Fiction from Emerson College. My writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, and elsewhere. I've worked as a ghostwriter, researcher, fiction editor, and book editor, and I've taught writing at the university level and through independent programs.
