Evan Fleischer is the founder of Orange Cat Writing Workshop. He is a writer, teacher, and editor based in Maine who has been running writing classes for students of all ages for over five years — from worldbuilding workshops where middle schoolers invented functional languages to craft seminars that take us deep into Barthes.
He holds an MFA in Fiction from Emerson College. His writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, and elsewhere. He has worked as a ghostwriter, researcher, fiction editor, and book editor, and has taught writing at the university level and through independent programs.
Dave Child is a writer, actor, comedian, and filmmaker who has been working in the industry for nearly twenty years. He is a Moth Grand Slam winner in storytelling and has worked for major studios like Warner Brothers. He has optioned scripts to ABC Studios and his short films have been featured in festivals across the country, including the Austin Film Festival and the SOHO International Film Festival.
As a large man who moves surprisingly well, he is a founding member of the dance troupe Liquid Feet and has starred in several international music videos and on ABC's The Gong Show with Mike Myers. Most recently he was the head YouTube writer for the popular channel Mr. Ballen — episodes he has written have garnered millions of views. He's also an Eagle Scout and a nice guy.
